Enjoy Life

As usual, I was driving into work earlier this week and I heard a key phrase on the radio that I kept until Friday. The conversation boiled down to enjoying your time here on earth; then I came upon the above passage. I started thinking and realized that God wants us to enjoy our time here on earth. He wants us to be happy and fulfilled. God does not want us to stress or be overwhelmed and consumed with worry.

Jesus says in Matt 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

I got to thinking about all the things we neglect to do. Namely spending quality time with our immediate families (wives and children). If we are not careful the rigors of this world will keep us from our families and wear us down. I know I am guilty of this myself. We justify our heavy workloads by saying the bills have to get paid. And yes, this is all too true, but we will ALWAYS have bills unless, mega-millions hits, but I know us good Christians don’t indulge in that kinda stuff , fyi: next drawing is Tuesday, so I’ve been told…lol

So I charge to you.  Take a day off from those job responsibilities and ENJOY LIFE….
