The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance
JMR's Words Of Wisdom
Last week the topic was “Ask“ God for the desires of your heart but we have to temper those requests sometimes with patience. Many times, we ask God for something but get impatient if our request is not granted or fulfilled immediately. I heard a preacher say that a pray request delayed is not a denial.
.
Once we accept that mindset we can begin to wait on the Lord in loving patience. For example, how many times do our children request something from us whether its a toy, candy or whatever. If you are like me a good number of times I have to tell them not now, perhaps later if YOU ARE GOOD….
.
You see where I’m going right…well, we are God’s children asking him for something and sometimes God has to tell us not now, perhaps later, if you are good ;-)
.
It is in that time where we have to wait on the Lord in patience and not have the tantrum like a little kid in the store.
