For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
JMR's Words Of Wisdom
I got to thinking about how we regulate whom we will show compassion to. For example, many of us have been driving somewhere and at a stop light a person is soliciting $$$ for having troubles in their life.
.
We immediately determine if we will show compassion and give them something. If you are like me, you may size up the person based on appearance or demeanor and make a determination of your next move.
.
Well, that is part of our free will that God has allowed us to have. We can make a decision to show compassion and give OR wind our window up and decline.
.
But just as we make that determination, SO DOES GOD. In Romans, Paul tells us that God can choose whom he shows mercy and compassion to.
.
Now, I do not know the recipe for how this compassion will be dealt out but I do know that I would rather be in the mix and receive then not in the mix and be overlooked OR worse have God harden his heart to me….
.
Live righteous and your odds for compassion probably improve…

Remember, it takes a long time to grow old friends….
