Faith

Bible Verse: Rom 4:19-21

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead–since he was about a hundred years old–and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

JMR's Words Of Wisdom

A powerful testimony Paul is speaking of in the text above about how FAITH can move mountains and bring us the delights of our heart. Paul is referring to Abraham and his wife Sarah bearing children at the advanced age of 100. Paul states that Abraham did not weaken in his faith but rather was strengthened in his faith and gave God glory in doing so.
.
Abraham epitomizes what faith truly means. Although he was far beyond his year of child rearing in his mind God had other plans. Abraham was obedient in his faith and believed God would keep his promise if he continued to glorify the Father.
.
What a powerful emotion faith is. Why is it that we do not always have faith in God? Do we question the love our wives or children have for us or do we take it on faith that they love us unconditionally.
.
How come we can accept some aspects of our faith yet often have reservations in our spiritual faith in God? I urge you to develop a similar trust/faith in God as you trust/have faith that others love you.
.
Remember, it takes a long time to grow old friends…
