A common theme that we see and hear is that society will wear you
down. Whether it’s bills, work, school, relationships or just plain old
hardships, if not careful we can lose focus on the good things in life. We
have to be conscious not to forget to “give thanks” for all the blessings
God has bestowed upon us.
.
If not for the grace of God, we could be 180 degrees from where we are today.
We could be homeless, jobless, depressed or mentally challenged. God has
shielded us from these pitfalls. He gives us strength to press through our obstacles.
.
King David says in the text that if we trust in God, we will be “helped”.
Sometimes the problem or issue may not be resolved but God will give us
peace of mind to accept whatever circumstance is before us. The race is not
always given to the swift but to those that endure.
.
So today or this weekend, give thanks for the multitude of blessings you have: your right mind, a reasonable portion of health, family and at least one person giving you encouragement.
.
Remember, it takes a long time to grow old friends… be blessed
.
HAPPY FATHER DAY TO ALL THE FATHERS!!!!
