Isn’t it a great feeling to know that someone has your back. That you can depend on this person to watch out for you through think and thin. Career military people refer to being in the trenches with another soldier and having the faith in their comrade to know he will be by their side when things get grimy….

Well, in the text God reminds his people that they are precious to him. He formed them and redeemed them. He is not about to abandon them. No matter what challenges or difficulties they face, he will be with them to deliver them and bring them to safety.

We can accept this same promise; we also have the benefit of history to show God’s faithfulness.
