Discipline

Can you recall when you were a youngster and your father said, “This is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you” OR you are getting disciplined because I love you. I use to think that was some nonsense.

Today, I look back on those times and realize that I’m in those situations now with my kids. I now see the picture totally different. So, if you look at things from this new perspective and realize that the same application applies to God when he disciplines us.

You may ask how do I get disciplined from God. Well, He may deny certain things from us or allow certain thing to happen to us or close certain doors to us.
.
What we must understand is that these forms of discipline are for our growth and benefit. And we have to understand that God loves us just as we love our children when we discipline them. It’s not rocket science.
