Mercy

A very simple verse from Proverbs this week. It brought to my mind the many people in the public eye who we find out have been living a lie or sinning behind closed doors. This list ranges from Presidents to clergy to CEO’s to athletes to everyday Joe workers.

Many times we look at the rich and famous and deceive ourselves into believing they are living the good life. Often times they are more burdened then your everyday Joe worker. But to the public they are skilled at concealing their sins but live a dreadful life often ending in tragic fashion.

Although God already knows our sins He wants us to confess them and ask for forgiveness. God’s mercy has no bounds or ties. It is infinite. We need only confess and renounce/denounce the sin and God washes away our actions from his record book.
