A few words about success and how it is conveyed in the good book. Paul talks about how God blesses those that seek Him and will give them success in the verse. I thought about this dynamic; about how God wants us to do something before we can reap the benefits.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents used to ply you with rewards if you cleaned your room or ate all your peas. Basically, you were operating in a work/reward relationship.

Well, guess what, God is utilizing that same type of relationship that you grew up on. He wants you to reach out to him and he says he will provide for you and give you success.

Easy as pumpkin pie, so just as it was when you were a youngster, the ball is in YOUR court. You can do what is asked and receive your gift or you can be hardheaded and watch as your brother enjoys the spoils of his obedience….
