Wealth

Bible Verse: Matt: 6:24 and Matt: 6:34

No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. — Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own

JMR's Words Of Wisdom

Well folks, this is one for the ages. I have heard the 1st scripture many times, preached many different ways. Bottom line is that man cannot be obsessed or rather define himself by worldly riches. A common trap that many of us fall into. Matthew makes mention of these trappings throughout his gospel. Jesus himself told the disciples that it is easier for a camel to pass through a needle eye than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of God.
Is that to say that all rich men are doomed, surely not. But it is a stern warning to not become overwhelmed with your earthly riches. Does man think that riches equate to happiness? I’d bet a good portion of us do despite the proof we see to the contrary. Like Biggie said, “Mo Money, Mo Problems”. Don’t we see these so-called ” happy” rich celebrities with a mountain of problems?
If you chase the almighty dollar and not the Almighty, you are running away from your covering. You are exposing yourself to the wicked and demonic trappings Lucifer has for you. If you are not under God’s umbrella you are going to get wet. Translation, God protects us from the evil in the world when we serve and honor him.
Do not judge your “wealth” by material goods and do not become consumed about tomorrow and what may happen. Good tells us not to worry or fret about tmr but rather put your trust and faith in Him that He will make a way.
God knows what we need and will provide it accordingly. In fact, God wants you to have the desires of your heart BUT not at the expense of serving him.
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything. – Roy O. Disney
